Sunshine Kids

Sunshine Kids is African Women for Empowerment (AWE) e.V.’s child-focused programme that protects the right to education for children who have been pushed to the margins by poverty and war. It supports children and youths from disadvantaged families, those living in refugee camps and internally displaced communities in African conflict regions to access and stay in school.

Through Sunshine Kids, (AWE) e.V. covers school fees, uniforms, books and other learning materials and, where needed, contributes to basic medical care and essential items such as food and clothing. The team works with trusted local partners who identify children in greatest need, follow up their progress and report back so support remains transparent and targeted. Donations marked “Sunshine Kids” are reserved for this purpose and directly improve the daily lives and future chances of the children reached.
