Who we are

African Women for Empowerment (AWE) e.V. ((AWE) e.V.) brings together women from the African diaspora and the African continent to support one another, advocate for rights, and create concrete opportunities for children, youth, and families.

Our work focuses on empowerment, education, protection, and community-driven initiatives that respond to needs identified by the communities themselves.

How we work

(AWE) e.V. collaborates closely with local partners, volunteers, and supporters. For each programme or project, we pay attention to accountability, transparency, and respectful partnership.

2019 Year (AWE) e.V. was founded by four African women human rights activists in Europe.
4 Founding activists whose shared passion for disadvantaged women, children and persons with disabilities led to the creation of (AWE) e.V.
6 UN goals (AWE) e.V. focuses on: ending poverty and hunger, universal primary education, gender equality, reduced child and maternal mortality, and global partnership for development.
