About

(AWE) e.V. (African Women for Empowerment) is a women-led association founded in 2019 by four African human rights activists based in Europe. Your support helps us stand with women, children, youth and persons with disabilities in African communities affected by poverty, conflict and displacement.

Who we are

African Women for Empowerment (AWE) e.V. ((AWE) e.V.) brings together women from the African diaspora and the African continent to support one another, advocate for rights, and create concrete opportunities for children, youth, and families.

Our work focuses on empowerment, education, protection, and community-driven initiatives that respond to needs identified by the communities themselves.

How we work

(AWE) e.V. collaborates closely with local partners, volunteers, and supporters. For each programme or project, we pay attention to accountability, transparency, and respectful partnership.
